If you’ve ever driven north through the Santa Ynez Valley toward Santa Maria, you’ve probably passed through the tiny town of Los Alamos without realizing how much character it holds. Bell Street — the town’s single main road — looks like something pulled straight from a Western film set, with wooden storefronts, old saloons, and historic buildings lining the street.
Right in the center of it all sits the 1880 Union Hotel, one of the oldest and most recognizable landmarks in the region. Built during the stagecoach era, the hotel has been welcoming travelers for well over a century. Today it serves as both a historic hotel and an incredibly unique wedding venue for couples who want something authentic and a little bit different from traditional vineyard weddings.

Wedding guests often arrive early to explore the area — visiting tasting rooms like Bodega Los Alamos or grabbing dinner at local spots like Bob’s Well Bread Bakery or Bell’s Restaurant. The town is small enough that everyone can walk from place to place, which creates a relaxed and social atmosphere throughout the entire weekend.
