Driving north along Highway 1 from San Simeon, the Central Coast slowly begins to change. The farmland fades, the cliffs begin rising higher above the Pacific, and the road winds along the edge of the mountains as the ocean stretches endlessly below.
About fifteen miles into that drive you reach Ragged Point.
Locals often call it the “gateway to Big Sur,” and it’s easy to understand why once you see it. The property sits on a dramatic cliffside where the Santa Lucia Mountains fall straight into the Pacific Ocean. From the viewpoint near the inn, waves crash against the rocks hundreds of feet below while sea mist drifts across the coastline.
It’s one of the most breathtaking wedding settings on the entire California coast.
